Once my Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus was bought, the PayPal app said "Pending Payment" and under that was "OK TO SHIP".. so I shipped it with the tracking info that I purchased through Ebay.. buyer said they received item, then the payment was cancelled. What can I do to get my money for the device? Already have talked to PayPal and Ebay for over 6 hours on the phone and no resolution from trying to contact the buyer (invalid email and account doesn't exist anymore in Ebay)
Man I can get into a really long winded story here that includes all sorts of explanations on what probably happened and how you should always conduct your sales but I think the short of it is your money is gone so I would be looking into how to brick or render the phone inoperable from your end.
What I don't understand is why PayPal would tell me it was "OK To SHIP".. that's my whole beef with the whole story. I will try to deactivate the phone.
I just had the same thing happen, except mine had said "PAYMENT RECEIVED" "OK TO SHIP" in the Paypal app. This is an unacceptable error of misinformation on Paypal's end, which scammers can use to exploit sellers.
Mine also had the "Payment Received, Ok To Ship".. after 20 hours on the phone with both Ebay and PayPal, my account was credited. Make sure you file and IC3 report and submit it to Ebay. Good luck!
I am experiencing this right now. EBay and or PayPal continue to hold funds until my customer receives their product. I thought that was happening but I just got an e-mail stating that payment hasn't cleared? It was marked "Ok to ship" otherwise I wouldn't have.
PayPal sometimes withholds payment until our customers receive their items. PayPal gave the "Ok to ship" so I did. The address was verified but no protection offered.
