Hi. I'm very new to Paypal and was wondering how PayPal Credit refunds work. PayPal sent me one of those emails which were a solicitation for applying for PayPal Credit. So I was like, meh, I'll just click it and see what happens. So anyway I ended up getting a credit line in literally split seconds. Then I was like, hmm...I should try this to see how it works. Because, you know, sometimes buying stuff online is a pain. So then I went and bought something kind of cheap on Ebay. It went very smooth. All said, it was a 187 dollars test run. So I was like, okay, I'll get my stuff and I'll pay it off next week since I know how it all works now when you use PayPal Credit online.
But here's the thing. The Ebay store was listing items that they didn't actually have. And in this case, the seller couln't even get it since it was no longer sold by the manufacturer. So the seller was drop-shipping.
Anyway, I asked for a refund. And the seller did refund me 187 dollars and some change. It shows up on my PayPal summary. Bu it hasn't actually been put back into my PayPal Credit Balance.
So, my question is this. Will PayPal put the refunf back into my PayPal Credit balance in a few days or somethign like that?
Thanks for help.

You were quite fortunate to have a buyer that was honest and processed a refund.
The refund will go back to your PayPal Credit account, but it will take severa days. Here's were it get's tricky. If the PayPal Credit closing date happens before the refund then your statement would show money owed. In your case it wouldn't matter as the refund would get there before the due date. It's also not likely your closing date is near.
Just be aware that your next attempted purchase may not go so smoothly. Just because you have a PPC account doesn't mean you will be able to use it on demand.

Thank You. I figured that it wouldtake a few days to make its way back to my balance. I just wanted to have some confirmation by anyone knowledgeable with that kind of thing.
I'll likely never even use it again to be perfectly honest. I pretty much pay all of my bills/online transactions with my debit card. I just wanted to see how it worked since they gave me a credit line. And a generous one at that. It seems like a really efficient little system they have.
Thanks again.

PayPal Credit can be a very good tool to manage your finances, just like credit cards, not as a way to spend what you don't have but as a way to have more options for your money. Like using credit cards for 95% of purchases just to get the rewards--free money as long as bills are paid in full each month. For large purchases PPC allow you to keep funds invested for 6 months earning a return and then pay off PPC by experation. It's like using another party's money for your own financial benefit.
I've used PPC promotions several times forbusiness purposes.

My issue concerns a refund from one of PayPal's vendors to which I returned a $149.95 product - they received it weeks ago, however, they encountered issues in putting my refund back into my PP account indicating that I contact PP. Over the last 2 days I've spoken to 5 peeps at PP, over a 2 hour period. I've explained my situation verbally and in via email over 7 times.
Finally yesterday my issue was escalated and I was advised that if anything further was needed, I would be contacted via email. Today I received an email requesting that I, again, explain the situation....I did. Two hrs later I received a second request. WT?
Just now I got yet another email from PP indicating that my account had been credited $2.77, WT? again. Where's my $149.95 for **bleep**?
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could/should proceed further to resolve this matter and get my money back?

Update on the original question: My refund was processed and returned to my PPC this morning. So all is well that ends well. That was rather quick, too. Good work, PP. Thank You.
