I am writing this post in reguards to a BBB complaint i was force to file against Paypal over a technical error their computer system had.
I think it is a shame that the represenititives of Paypal can sleep at night knowing things like this are going on and that upper managment is not wanting to make changes to fix them.
On August 17th i owed PayPal credit exactly 351.59 on my balance.
That night i payed 201.42 from money i had in my PayPal balance which ent through immediatley and was also completed with a confirmation number as well.
That left me oweing PayPal credit 150.17 on my credit balance. Imade a payment of 150.17 to completely zero out what i owed on my balance to PP credit the next day Aug 18th with my PP balance i had money left in. Once done that ofcourse zero'd out both the PayPal credit of what i owed and my PP balance because it was the exact amount i had in it.
For some strange miraculous reason, the computer system yanked 201.42 AGAIN! This time since i had no money left at that moment in my PP balance, it took it from the bank account associated with my PayPal account!!!!
I was very lucky i had money in the bank so thank God i didn't overdraft!
I had sold an item on Ebay later that day so when i was told about this happening from my wife due to her keeping an eye on our Bank account, i sent the 201.42 back to the bank from the item money i had in my Paypal Balance.
I immediatley called Paypal to find out what in the world was going on and to try and figure out why it did that.
After talking to a forigener for 45 minutes (it takes twice as long due to their "broken english") he told me that when i sent the final 150.17 payment to PP Credit that there was a glitch in the system and because i didn't have any money in my PP balance left, it yanked it from my listed bank account.
I informed him that i had purchased an item on Ebay for 310 and that i would just let that 201.42 that got pulled from the bank go to my credit. He assured me it would and that their would be no problems and that he would put a notation on my acount.... YEAH RIGHT!
Well days went by and after numerous representitives and time for the money to clear, sure enough i didn't get credit for it.
Paypal is now making the claim that i didn't have enough money to cover my first 201.42 payment on the 17th that i made from my PayPal balance which is why it took the money from my bank and that the "confirmation number" it gave me is a conformation of a bank payment which was taken on the 18th. (the double payment one).
I had 300+ when i made the first payment from my balance. It was paid on the 17th, and cleared on the 17th also.
As you all know that when you make a payment from a bank account, it clearly states that in the payments panel as you can see from the attached photos.
Also you can clearly see that both payment of 201.42 was both on seperate days, and "both" had seperate conformation/transaction numbers.
I don't know why PayPal is trying to steal. I have clearly shown as you can see below from the attached photos that there was 2 seperate payments and that it is rediculous that anyone has to file complaints to the BBB to have a company aknowledge anything.
Furthermore i find it disturbing that Paypal's top executive, Mr. Amro, is trying to stick with PayPal's claim of "Only one payment was made" when i have shown that to be completely wrong and that if it was just one payment then where did the 201.42 i had in my balance go to exactly?
I have problems trusting PayPal after this. Also i refuse to pay the 201.42 they claim i owe. If they try to cause me problems with creditors or try to close or suspend my account, i think i will get the KY courts involved.
I have always paid what i owed and have been a good customer. It is a shame greed has obviously got inbetwen PayPal and their customers relationships.
Below are links to the various screenshots showing my evidence of payments. You can clearly see this is a mistake on PayPals part and indeed there are 2 seperate payments made. The one on the 17th, then the one they took and i let them keep on the 18th.
I wanted to show all of this to you because it makes me wonder exactly how many people this has happened to exactly? You may be next!!! You just never know!
Sincerly,
