How do debit cards work?

So I'm tired of having to wait 5 days to transfer money from my bank to my paypal account so I was thinking of getting a debit card from my bank and putting it with paypal but before I do I have some questions, first is how does paypal work their confirmation with it?  When I linked my bank account they deposited like 5 cents in two different amounts and made me verify and tell them exactly what it was.  Secondly can I instantly send money with a debit card like a credit card or do I have to wait like I do with my bank account.

If you link your card to your ppal your payments will be instant

You will be sent deposits to your bank to confirm and verify your account

You never have to have money in your ppal balance to pay as ppal will take it straight from your back up source ie your card

Im not sure since you are already verified maybe you can just add it

Ive just looked on ppal website about "adding a card" it doesnt say anything about having to verify it again but like I say Im not sure
