John Lewis online error

Hello.

 

I need some advice please.

 

I ordered something online from john lewis and when i went to pay on paypal the website errored, so i tried again.

 

Now i received two emails with the same price and order but only one order number for the item and when i rang john lewis they said i ony ordered one item.

 

Both items said "pending" in paypal but one has now completed and the other is still pending.. is the errored item going to just expire or am i going to get charged tiwce and receive two items?

Suggest that you contact the seller or merchant.  It's quite possible that you may be charged twice however, you cannot cancel the transaction, unfortunately only the seller or merchant can do that.

I have done. I rang them straight away and they said they have only receivd one order.

 

When i made the first attempt, there was an error where it said my order hadnt been accepted but i got an email saying it did.

 

I then re did it with no problems and got another email. Shortly after I got a confirmation email from the merchant for one item.

 

The other item which errored seems to be lost in the system as "pending" as the merchanthas confirmed just one order has gone through, not two.

 

Also the secon order has completed whereas the first "lost" order is pending.
