My credit cards are being declined at ebay, even that they have enough money available to buy.

I want to pay for an item on ebay, but my credit cards are being declined. I have talked with my bank and they said my cards are OK. What is going on?

Agree, does not seem to be a CC issue; it may be an eBay issue or PayPal issue.  Either eBay or PayPal is stopping it so it never reaches the credit card company.

If the attempt from eBay has been made to PayPal, their customer service should be able help.

Your credit card company should be able to look at the individual attempts and see a reason for delcine; it doesn't have to be a problem with your account.

You could also check the online account for your credit card to see if there is a pending declined transaction.  If so, that will help isolate the problem.  (However, not all credit card accounts will show pending and hold transactions.)

If it's a PayPal issue you'll need to call PayPal so an account rep can look at the idividual transaction attempts.

It could also be some other security issue with your card and recent transactions which create suspicioun with authorizations.   You'll need to talk to your credit card comapny, not your local bank, about that.

Thanks for the input. I am confused because apparently ebay is not regisstering tha attempts. My credit card company normally send an email to me when a payment has been declined..but this time I have not received the email notification.

I called my CC company and they don't have any payment attempt registered. So... I assume is a paypal issue.
