No history of transactions/No refund to my bank account

So I made a purchase from a site similar to Groupon, wish I think the app was called, using PayPal as a medium to transfer the funds from my bank account. I was charged immediately no problem and had used this method with the site in the past without incident. However I cancel the order and was told I'd be issued a refund and it could take up to two weeks. 3 weeks past and nothing I contact the site and they said the refund was issued and accepted. Research led me to believe it was simply my bank taking forever to post it. It been almost 2 months now and I still haven't gotten the refund. Idk if this is a problem with PayPal or my bank. My second issue is none of the transactions using PayPal as a medium for PayPal shows on my activity feed. All transactions where I transferred money to PayPal and then paid a retailer or PayPal credit show however. Idk if this is a common problem or if some things up with the seller, my bank, or what. Any help is appreciated.
