Just before authorizing PayPal to pay for an item, there was "Insurance not offered."  What is this.  I have never seen it on any of the statements before.

Does the merchant offer some kind of insurance?

eBay seller.  I paid for item plus shipping.  This was in the sub-total portion.

That doesn't seem too out of the ordinary.  It shouldn't negate your PayPal purchase protection or eBay Money Back Guarantee.  The seller just didn't offer you insurance.  If you want insurance, contact the seller about adding it to the invoice before sending payment.

Where are you seeing this?  After logging into PayPal to complete payment?  Or are you looking at a PayPal invoice?
