I am paying for goods on PayPal, and I want to use my credit card to pay. PayPal charges 2.9% + $0.30 for a goods/services purchase, and charges 2.9% + $0.30 for paying by credit card. Does this mean PayPal charges 5.8% + $0.60 for the entire purchase, or will it remain at 2.9% + $0.30 for the entire purchase?
I called the "service" line and was helped by a nearly useless recording, so I am hoping someone here may know the answer.
Thanks!

If you are the buyer then you do not pay anything, only sellers pay fees on paypal.

I did. If someone pays for goods/services the fee is 2.9% + $0.30. When someone pays with a credit card, a 2.9% + $0.30 fee is applied. If I pay for a good/service with a credit card will the seller be charged both fees, or just one?

when you buy something from a seller who accepts Paypal, you pay no fee but seller would pay paypal 30 cents plus 2.9-3.9 % fee.
it does not matter whether you pay with a credit card, paypal fund or bank fund,Paypal will charge the above fee .
BUyer never pay fee,seller does.

And a seller should not be asking you to pay their fees.
