Hi All, I know that the fee if a person sends money using a credut card is 2.9% and that the fee fr receiving money for goods or servics is 2.9%. My question is, If a person uses a credit card to bay me for a service will I be charged the 2.9% because they used a CC AND another 2.9% because it is for a service?
Thanks

You offer something for sale. A buyer pays. PayPal takes its fee for the service. You have no idea how the buyer payed; all that matter is that PayPal processed the payment and charged you the 2.9%. It's very simple.

The seller always pay the fee when the buyer pays for goods and services.
2.9% plus 30 cents transaction fee,it would be deducted from his payment.
If your volume is high, you will get a lower rate like 2.6%,if you are like Walmart, you pay 1%,
There is also micro payment for sellers who accept payments $12 or less, transaction fee is 5 cents and discount rate is 5%,do your math !

For goods and services, they only charge you one fee. They do not charge you again because the sender use a credit card.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

I just got stiffed paying for goods/service from a Seller selling something and no idea why I now get charged a fee. Never happened prior to any goods or services where I used my CC or Pay Pal Credit...some new undocumented money making thing with PP?
