How can I send and receive money from Western Union with my PayPal account?

First, no, this is not a fraud or scam.  🙂  These are overseas friends that I have known for ages, and an exchange of birthday gifts with associated shipping charges. 

I like the extra layer of safety that PayPal provides, rather than simply using Western Union.

Is there a way to link Western Union and my PayPal account?

They are 2 rival payment processors so they are hardly going to be linked are they 

However I used western union to send funds to my son when he was travelling all over the world and ran out of funds (on a way too often basis), and found they were quick and efficient.

Personally for something like you want to use it for I would go with western union.

All my son had to have was his passport and the transaction number i sent him and he picked it up at the place i sent it to near where he was staying each time.
