I get this error on the security check when trying to send money to a friend.

I've called phone support 5+ times in the last 7 days and its crazy how **bleep** useless they are even though I'M CALLING THEM ON THE NUMBER I'M TRYING TO VERIFY WITH.

they just say things like :

"wait 24 hours before trying to send the payment again"

"I've submitted a request to update your account please wait 48 hours"

"the phone number isnt why you cant send money" Oh yeah how the **bleep** do i send money without getting past the security check?

my account is verified and all that **bleep** and it has been for over a year now.

Any help? I owe a friend money that lives in another country and can't get the money to him.

The number is registered in my name but I'm not so sure about address, I've moved alot and kept the same number so I linked all the addresses I've been in and tried to get past the security but it just doesn't work!

I've double checked and the number is in my name.

Any help?

Also having this issue.  The phone number is registered in my name with my carrier (Project Fi), and has been verified on my PayPal account.  I can't even use my number to have PayPal call me for verification, since it also returns that error message.  I literally use this number for all other services' text / voice verifications with no problems.

PayPal tries to steal our money, guys wake up please !!! i already have verified number, also i put the number that is registered to my name and it still says that i can't send money, i have fckin 600$ and need to send it asap but now this money belongs to PayPal ... don't waste your time and don't call them they have only answers like this "Try again in 24 hours" "We already told support and wait 48 hours" and when you call everytime they tell you to wait wait wait wait wait wait ...... That's boring af
