Payments being converted to BRL(Brazilian Real)

Every time I try to make a payment my currency is being converted from USD (US dollars) to BRL (Brazilian Real),  I'm making the payment using the same credit card that I've used in the past and I've never had this to happen before.  I checked my account settings to see if anything had been changed, but I didn't find anything.  I checked with the seller to see if there was a setting in their account that would cause the currency conversion, and they confirmed that they receive all payments in USD.  So, why would my payment suddenly begin to be converted from USD to BRL?

There have been reports about this but with no explanation as to why or concrete solution. Perhaps try going to Profile > Manage Pre-approved Payments > Set available funding sources, and tinker around with the conversion settings.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Thank you for your response.  I called the PayPal support center this morning and I was told that other PayPal customers have reported the same issue that I am having with their currency being converted. The customer service representative told me that their IT department is working to resolve the issue and she made a note that my account was experiencing the unknown currency conversion issue.

Same problem happened to me...even when they send me the charge for security verification, it was charged in Brazilian real and caused me not able to verify my identity. Now my account is stuck and can not make purchases, very frustrating experience.
