If you are receiving text messages from us, that is most likely someone attempting to sign into your account. Don't be too concerned, this means that we have identified that it isn't you and we are trying to verify them. What it does mean is that your PayPal password was most likely compromised from a less secure website. You would want to update your PayPal password as soon as possible. Here is a how-to for that: https://www.paypal.com/us/selfhelp/article/how-do-i-change-my-password-and-security-questions-faq144.... Also, make sure you update it anywhere else you had that same password.
