Hello everyone,
I see there are a number of people whom are based in New Zealand in both these community forums and scattered through the FaceBook comments of PayPal's FaceBook page complaining of a delay in the reciept of their withdrawals.
This appears to be affecting a variety of banks and applies to multiple withdrawals, I myself have made 3 withdrawals in the last 8 days and have yet to see one.
Has anyone fom NZ had any official communication back from PayPal regarding this? I haven't seen a straight answer in the FaceBook comments and automated responses are the only direct replies I'm getting.
Any constructive feedback would be appreciated.

UPDATE 09:00 - 14.09.16 - PayPal have finally responded with an ETA
"We are processing a fix today and it will depend on your banking institution as to when exactly the funds will appear in your bank account. The majority of impacted customers will receive the reimbursement into their bank account within 24 hours and all transactions will be processed by the end of this week. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused."
FYI I've unsuccesfully attempted to edit the original post to show this update.

It was in reponse to a rather lengthy comment I posted on their latest FaceBook post.
A number of kiwi customers in a FaceBook group have also reported that they have received this same message via PM.

YES, I saw this one this morning. Here is part 2 from STUFF 18mins ago - LINK. Another interesting read. NZH also just posted a part 2 - LINK and also NEWS HUB, which reads similar to the original STUFF post. So reading the latest story, we should get our $ tonight and the the fix sorted by next week. QUESTION, how is it that no one from PAYPAL has posted here ..... We also emailed them again today .... still waiting and yesterday gave up after being on hold for over 4 hours, I have a picture on my phone.

I have had this email from paypal 13th September,
Dear Jacqueline Smith, Thank you for contacting PayPal Customer Support. My name is Mike and I'm happy to address this for you. There is currently a known issue with the withdraw money option. We know this may be frustrating and we’re working hard to fix the problem immediately. We expect to have it fixed within the next couple of days. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this and thank you for your patience.
Sincerely,
|

** JUST GOT MY EMAIL - Title was 'We Are Sorry.' As per on of the previous messages here, it re-itterated this. PAYMENT in the next 24hrs and the issue will be sorted by the end of the week .... business back to normal. Only issue will be persuading our customers to use PAYPAL after all this bad publicity. I guess we say the issue was with them paying us, the merchants. I have already said that to 2 clients today .....

I posted previously in the wrong thread: I am missing several withdrawals totalling a large amount. I have had no resposne from Pay Pal. I only found out there was a problem from today's newspaper. How could their customer servcie be so poor that they do not let their business customers know of the problem? I am wondering if they are in financial difficulty and that is why they are not able to resolve the problem. Anyone else have feedback or any ideas of good alternative payment providers? I am very close to cancelling all outstanding Pay Pal payment requests as who knows if I'll ever see that money.

I don't know who handles their PR, but whoever it is needs sacking yesterday. These days there are specialist agencies who tell you how to behave in a crisis like this - PayPal need to hire one right away and stop behaving like amateurs.
