Does fast food count as a restaurant?

I was just approved for the Paypal Extras MasterCard. AWESOME! I noticed that it gives triple rewards points for 'gas and restaurant' purchases. My question is if 'fast food' counts as a 'restaurant' or not. Looking at the math, if I got triple points then taking this card to McDonalds would far outweigh every other card I have - but with single points, it would be outweighed BY every other card I have, (ironically, including the Paypal DEBIT card!). So it would make a major difference in which card I use.

Guess I have to answer my own question. I charged a purchase of $10.87 to McDonalds and waited for the statement. I simply had to check every day because no documentation available gives the statement date (it's the ninth, although I'm not sure if it's the same for everyone). I was awarded a total of 41 points - it was easy to deduce how many points each transaction was worth as there were only two (the other was a Paypal transaction for $5.41) While I don't know where the extra point came from, the bottom line is that the Paypal extras mastercard DOES count fast food as a restaurant, and thus, awards triple points for them.

I was wondering about reswturants also....I just used mine, not at a Mcdonalds, but at Wendy's. Seems to be a pretty good deal to me.
