PAYPAL Short Codes not receiving SMS T-Mobile RESOLVED!!

Just want to share this with everyone.

 

I switched carries from Sprint to T-Mobile early this month and my phone number was ported into T-Mobile.

 

And when I try to log into paypal (Dual Factor-Authentication Enabled) I do not get a security code via text message. I checked iPhone 6s Plus Settings >>> Messaging >>>  Blocked >>> to see if 729-725 (It spells paypal on the dial pad) is block and it was not. I called T-mobile support and Paypal support and they weren't any help.

 

This how I got it resolved...

 

1.) Delete all text messages related to 729-725

2.) On the iPhone holding the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time and it will reset your iPhone.

3.) Create a new text message and in the To: field box type 729-725 and in the body of the message tyoe Help. You should recievie a message from paypal.

 

Now try logging into paypal and hopefully it will send you the security code.

 

If that doesn't work then try this...

 

1.) Login to Paypal and use "Don't have my Security Key" and I choose the option Security Questions

2.) On PayPal under profiles, remove your phone number. Then logout.

3.) Delete all text messages related to 729-725

4.) On the iPhone hold down the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time, wait for it and it will reset your iPhone.

5.) Create a new text message in the To: field box type 729-725 and in the body of the message tyoe Help. You should recievie a message from paypal.

6.) Log back into PayPal go into profiles and add your phone number and "Confirm". Hopefully you'll receive your security code in your text message.
