Has anyone else been scammed by http://www.rekhsob.com/
I know I have been scammed; I'm currently working with the Paypal resolution team for a refund. After reading some of the other 'scam' postings, I'm wondering if I will be successful in getting a refund. Here's how the scam worked so far......
I see a legit website selling shoes. Place an order for $120.00 paid thru Paypal and feeling pretty secure about the transaction because the seller's website uses Paypal. I receive a 14 cent plastic shower cap sent to me from China in a small padded envelope. I was racking my brain trying to figure out what was behind this. Why did I receive a shower cap from this company? When Paypal said they would refund my money as long as I returned the item I was sent. I could use any shipping company that has online tracking. My first stop was the UPS store. They told me it would cost me $90.00 to send it via UPS with online tracking (a .02 lb envelope). So, there's part of the scam......now I have to pay an additional $90.00 to get my $120.00 back! If I decide that's just too much money and not worth it, the seller wins and gets $120.00 from me for nothing (oh, the seller spent 14 cents for the shower cap and whatever the shipping cost was, I highly doubt it was over $5.00 to ship that junk to me, but I have to pay thru the nose to send it back to China).
My next stop was the US Post Office. The price is around $12.00 for registered mail w/tracking, but I have to find out today if the tracking is the 'online tracking' that the Paypal email said I have to use.
After reading some posts here, I realize that there might be more to this scam..........I saw that when a buyer sent their merchandise back to China, it ended up sitting at a depot in China and the seller said they never received the merchandise back and Paypal didn't issue a refund because the seller never received the stuff. I hope my claim doesn't end that way.
This dispute is not over yet. I am currently working thru the dispute process with Paypal and I am going to try and send this cheap hotel give-away shower cap back to the address provided to me by Paypal.
I will never buy anything from China over the internet again.
I'm surprised that Paypal still does business with a website that scams its customers.
Is there somewhere that a warning can be posted about scams like this (besides this forum)?
Will Paypal discontinue dealing with a company that scams their American buyers?

Same thing happened to me. I was scammed for $152.06. I never received a thing and papal will not issue a refund because the seller was able to provide a tracking number. When I got a hold of the post office the tracking info was for a international letter form China, no shoes and I never received the letter either, don't know where that was delivered? I can't believe that papal is still doing business with this company, I also can't believe I am out $152.06.

I'm guessing you were just saying that out of frustration 😛 Because Paypal doesn't intentionally do "business" with scammer, as if a personal relationship..you and I are signed up and can abruptly start scamming just because...that's what they're there for--as a middleman shield. Without them, our account information has no shield. YOU would be dealing directly with scammers..no paypal to pull you out.
I happen to like my paypal..<3
Please note: again, if you're suspicious of an order that's been "Pending"/"Processing" for days now, call paypal to question it. The more complaints, the faster the seller gets kicked off the system.

The "order shoes, but receive shower cap from China" scam happened to me too----once I called Pay Pal and they realized the item I received was worthless, I was not required to mail back the item to receive my refund----PayPal is investigating the various websites that are perpetrating this scam, so please let them know if this happens to you as well, so they can shut them down---Pay Pal was excellent in handling this for me once they knew all the details---thank you

I also got scammed by Anne-Shoes.com on June 1, received the shower cap, and just reported all of this to Pay Pay a couple of days ago. They just resolved the dispute in favor of the seller in China for the same reason--that they have proof that something was shipped to me. I am going to pursue this further and take all legal means within my power to get my money back from PayPal. If PayPal doesn't comply in a reasonable amount of time, I will file a dispute with my credit card company. I will also repot this to all the appropriate legal authorities. This is an outrage!
Does anyone have the mailing address of the new CEO of Pay Pal, David Marcus? i think that we should flood him with letters! I am researching this and thus far have only found a way to contact him through Linked In, but I would like to send him a letter at his business address.

Dood, just call them on their Contact Us telephone. If you've noticed, many readers didn't bother to go through the Automated claims-system. That system only works to for civilized, willing folks...folks who actually have a long-standing history on ebay and reliable addresses..not automated scams that send shower caps.
I'm sure if the CEO could solve all thousands of users who fall for scam, he would..but that's why the Dispute/Claims process is there--to filter out the nonscam.

I was getting no where via email with paypal so I picked up the phone. My dispute was opened by the rep on the phone and resolved in my favour with a refund within 7days. Person to person works much better.

I had the same shower cap problem. Ordered shoes from HANDBAG BOUTIQUE. I thought the price was too good to be true and I was right. Never received shoes, checked order and said it was "pending" Then I got a shower cap in the email from China. Couldn't figure out why on earth I was getting this. Googled "shower cap from China" and found this forum. Contacted Paypal and they immediately agreed to refund my money. It was only $23.00 but I am very happy with Paypal. I will get my money back.
