Has anyone else been scammed by http://www.rekhsob.com/
I know I have been scammed; I'm currently working with the Paypal resolution team for a refund. After reading some of the other 'scam' postings, I'm wondering if I will be successful in getting a refund. Here's how the scam worked so far......
I see a legit website selling shoes. Place an order for $120.00 paid thru Paypal and feeling pretty secure about the transaction because the seller's website uses Paypal. I receive a 14 cent plastic shower cap sent to me from China in a small padded envelope. I was racking my brain trying to figure out what was behind this. Why did I receive a shower cap from this company? When Paypal said they would refund my money as long as I returned the item I was sent. I could use any shipping company that has online tracking. My first stop was the UPS store. They told me it would cost me $90.00 to send it via UPS with online tracking (a .02 lb envelope). So, there's part of the scam......now I have to pay an additional $90.00 to get my $120.00 back! If I decide that's just too much money and not worth it, the seller wins and gets $120.00 from me for nothing (oh, the seller spent 14 cents for the shower cap and whatever the shipping cost was, I highly doubt it was over $5.00 to ship that junk to me, but I have to pay thru the nose to send it back to China).
My next stop was the US Post Office. The price is around $12.00 for registered mail w/tracking, but I have to find out today if the tracking is the 'online tracking' that the Paypal email said I have to use.
After reading some posts here, I realize that there might be more to this scam..........I saw that when a buyer sent their merchandise back to China, it ended up sitting at a depot in China and the seller said they never received the merchandise back and Paypal didn't issue a refund because the seller never received the stuff. I hope my claim doesn't end that way.
This dispute is not over yet. I am currently working thru the dispute process with Paypal and I am going to try and send this cheap hotel give-away shower cap back to the address provided to me by Paypal.
I will never buy anything from China over the internet again.
I'm surprised that Paypal still does business with a website that scams its customers.
Is there somewhere that a warning can be posted about scams like this (besides this forum)?
Will Paypal discontinue dealing with a company that scams their American buyers?

I too was scammed by Rios-shoes for $156.15 - all I got was a shower cap. I contacted Paypal through their 'resolution process" and am now one month into the back and forth proess. This is unconsionable that Paypal continues to allow this company to do business through them. Paypal wrote that they had a "tracking number", though they hadn't verified it. I received a hotel shower cap - I am still trying to get Paypal to refund my money - claim number PP-001-877-886-914 has been opened since the 8th of July!!!! You would think Paypal would figure this out and not put me through all of this. I have sent pitures of the item with the tracking number to the emails listed for Paypal because it is impossible to load them with the dispute. I have just about had it with both the seller and Paypal. My seller is listed as jeanshoes802

Hi everyone!

Any suggestions, or help from your part as a mediator to someone at PayPal.nl? You are aware, and over here they aren't. I'm just a singular case, thanks, Alex
Account-specific assistance can't be given in the forums. 😞
For those of you who haven't yet had resolution, I definitely recommend contacting PayPal by phone or Twitter. A give-and-take type of conversation is much more conducive to fully explaining the situation. Explaining the details to a representative in real-time will allow them to ask probing questions and evaluate the details better.
I hope this helps!

I ordered a pair of sneakers for my gr.son last night, not that they were cheaper, they wern't, but because I couldn't find the "orange nike's" here in town. They had them on this website, coggi.co and they used paypal so I felt secure in ordering. As soon as I got the payment completed email with a chinese name on the receipt, I felt taken. Then I googled the website name and found out they have only been on line for 78 days..another red flag.
I have emailed paypal last nite within the hour of making the purchase. I just know from reading other posts that I too will recieve a shower cap or something other than the sneakers in 7-10days. I am on a pension and really don't have $90 CDN to loose, and he is out the sneakers for his Bday. What a mess!
I guess I should call paypal and see what can be done? I am literally sick to my stomach...

I have just received my two pairs of shoes. Guess what? I now have a $57 shower cap. I reported them to Pay Pal and they rejected my claim on the grounds that they were sent a confirmation of a mailing of an item even though they did not know the difference between a pair of shoes and a shower cap. I hope we can stop this company from using Pay Pal and taking our money.

what company name did you order from or web site.. you should share it so others don't get taken. I phoned paypal right away and got a refund within a week. The rep at paypal told me to take a picture of what was sent if something did show up before the scam artists replied to the open dispute claim, but not to send it back since it will just sit in a warehouse in China and then they say they never received your "package" back, plus to send your shower cap back would cost you around $80 and your out more money.
I hope you can get this resolved.

I got a call at 11:30pm on the 27th from a very Chinese woman in an obvious call center atmosphere (you could hear them all talking on phones in the background). The lady told me in very poor broken english that my "package" had already been sent out and she wanted me to close off my dispute claim at paypal. I asked for a tracking number and she changed the subject. She just kept repeating for me to "close dispute" and she would refund my money.
I asked where to send the package back to and she said "no need to send back." Now this struck me funny, cause if they just sent out my "package" why would they refund my money and let me keep the package..unless it contained some usless thing like a pencil or shower cap like other complaints have been.
So I held my ground and told her I would not close the dispute until the money had been returned into my account like the pay pal people told me. She got even madder .. and hung up on me. The next day I received notice that my dispute had been rectified and that a refund had been made to my account. I was happy, and even happier when the actual money showed up in my account 5 days later. I could not have had such a good outcome without the help from the paypal rep when I called them personally. I highly reccomend anyone who finds they have made a purchase by a fraudlant website to call paypal direct and get their help. They were FANTASTIC!
Also anyone who finds one of these sites, should put the name of the company here on the community so we can all be forwarned.

Well, this scam happened with me.
Same story: I have ordered a pair of shoes in www.anne-shoes.com. I learned too late that this site is fraudulent. First i have opened a claim for non-received item. But seller gave a tracking number to PayPal and my claim was closed. Then I have received a shower cap instead of shoes. I have not had the opportunity to open a new dispute for the same transaction, so i I had to ask for it via email. As a result of a new claim I had to send a shower cap back to China and I am responsible for the shipping costs.
I've read that some victims of fraud got a refund without having to send the cap back to the seller. I described my case in mail to customer support and they sent my letter to investigation. After a five day of waiting they responded that I still need to send a shower cap back to fraudsters.
Of course, I can try to call to customer support. But this international call would be to pricey for me. Also, my poor spoken English does not allow me to explain my situation.
I will not send a parcel to back China because it is a big waste of time and money. The cost of a shipment will be comparable to the cost of a shoes. So, I can say goodbye to my money.
I am very disappointed in PayPal.

Hi jack-bio,
Welcome to the forums!
I understand your reluctance to make an international call. If you use Twitter, go ahead and tweet to @AskPayPal and a representative can take a look at the situation for you.
I hope this helps! 🙂
