Can a Paystub or Bank Statement count as a Utility Bill?

I live in the basement of my friend's house. It isn't a duplex or anything, I'm just here in the basement. I don't have a car and I don't have any of the utilities in my name. I am nearly completely off the grid at the moment. I'm trying to rebuild my life after a divorce that coincided with the company I was employed by going under. Here I am 2 years later and I am finally getting out from my hole.
Anyway, so PayPal wants a Utility Bill. I have exactly two pieces of mail that come in. The first is my pay stub. The second is my bank statement. I have submitted my pay stub. Will it be ok to use? If not, will my Bank Statement be ok to use?
Thank you.
