Cant link my bank or card

I have an account with Compass BBVA - for my business account which I charge my customers for through PayPal.
I have tried to link my card I have with PayPal and it says the card cant be accepted. the account is active and have been using it regularly.
I tried to link my Paypal to the same bank, Compass BBVA and it keeps telling me the routing number is not a recognized bank. Yes I typed it in correctly many times. I know others have succeeded by adding "N.A." afterwards but I don't know where you enter the name of the bank, I just know that the name can never be retrieved...
HOWEVER....
I have paid other invoices through PayPal before and linked my pay pal account to my regular checking account card just fine. This card is registered with JP Morgan Chase Bank. Even so when I try and link my JP Morgan Chase Bank account to my PayPal, it still says the bank cannot be found and says the routing number is wrong.
I just want to have my BBVA account connected to paypal I dont get why its so difficult.

PaypPal customer support or compass? because I'm having the same problem. been waiting on one ofthose confirmation deposits for 3 days
