I am trying to update my primary address because I recently have moved. I enter in all the information, press Enter, and am given this message: "It looks like your city, state, and ZIP code didn't match. Check them and try again."
I have checked them and know that it's all correct. Being that this is a public forum, I won't post the details, but I know that my address is legit. So, it looks like the system is flawed and I was wondering if anyone else has come across this. I have contacted Paypal through the messaging system, but *surprise* their "we'll try in 24 hours" is a steaming load of customer service fluff. Does anyone have any tips or advice for this? It appears that I can't simply delete my old address for the time being, but I wish I could since it's inaccurate info.

Hello everyone, just want to let you know that I solved the issue. The solution came to me seemingly out of nowhere. You see, my city name has a "Mt." in it. So, say, for example: Mt. Cleary or Mt. Skyland, etc. PayPal does not recognize the common abbreviation of "Mount", which has caused such trouble for me this whole time. I don't know if anyone from PayPal actually reads these, but if you do, please know that your system needs to be updated so that it recognizes common abbreviations that even kids in kindergarten know.
But, yeah, issue solved. I had to spell out "Mt." and I am kicking myself that I didn't even try that after all this time. Oh well. Also, just want to point out that I tried to contact PayPal twice through their messaging system. I received no response. Customer service is important, and if you're going to claim that you "try" to get back with people within 24 hours, make sure you have some action to back up that claim. Multiple days with no response is not "trying."
Okay, I'm off my soapbox now. Cheers!

That is a good point, no I hadn't done that. This morning, I did so and realized that USPS has those 4 extra digits for my zip. (XXXXX-XXXX) Sadly, even with this new info, I still get the same message. Am I supposed to leave out the dash, include it? This boggles my mind. Thanks for your response.

Where were you before you moved? U. S.?
The +4 ZIP shouldn't make a difference.
Is this a business or personal account? Do you have a PayPal Credit accout?

Yes, I was in an address in the US not so far away from my current home. This is just a personal account, and I do not have a PayPal credit account. As a matter of fact, I don't often use PayPal all that much. I opened an account here originally to accept payment from an online freelance writer site. After that ended, I kept my account just in case I needed it for anything else.
