I'm trying to add a prepaid debit card to my paypal account and the system won't let me. 

I purchased the card this morning and it's active and has more than enough on it. Paypal has let me add prepaid gift cards in the past, but it won't let me this time. The message only tells me "Sorry, we can't link this card. Please try linking a different card to your account."

As you can guess, the reason I bought the card was to make a few purchases online (half accept only paypal) and I need this to work to do so, but it refuses.

What gives?

Prepaid cards can be a challenge.  The card must have either a Visa or MC logo and you must be able to register both your name and address with the card issuer.  The name and address must be the same name and address you used to establish your PayPal Account with.

My card is also a simple debit card with my money on it and in 2012 it was my primary bank account and card linked to the paypal account, as my card was lost I have another, the same VISA debit card with a logo and I'm using it everywhere. ..except paypal 'cos it wouldn't link the new card to my old account. How does it work? Any thoughts?

Hey, I've read that first you must remove your first card from the account, after that you can add your new card.

Hi i have the same problem and i removed the old card and try to add the new card it is gave me error and the card working fine with me and i have a money on it i need help to add my payoneer master card to paypal nad thanks, Best Regards Ramy

The same to me. I have debet card from CBA, and it worked fine, untill Paypal failed to pay with it due to insuficient funds. The card has dissapeared from the list, and I cannot add it back, notwithstanding, that it's working and has enough money on it. I see the same error. I have no more cards, so now I cannot use PayPal at all.

Been getting the same problem! At first, the option to withdraw money thru my card is not showing but after removing the card and tried re-adding it already won't push through. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
