Newbie Alert!
I'm new to the community forum, but not new to Paypal. I've had an account for many years -- and that is part of the root of my problem. To start out, I set it up as a personal account as a safer way to make online purchases, etc. Gradually, I started using it as a way to accept occasional payments from people buying things from my small craft business, and set it up to accept purchases through my website. All the while, I was still using it for personal purchases as well. My business has grown and changed and now requires better tracking, invoicing and separation of income and expenses from the personal use. Since I originally set it up with my personal bank account (didn't even have a business bank account at that point), I need to find out how to untangle things. I have recurring payments set up -- some personal, some business -- I have a credit card scanner (that needs to stay on the business acct). What would be the least-hassle-filled way to separate things?

You should two separate accounts - one Business and one Personal. You cannot really split an account. That's the most straight forward way to keep your worlds separate.
