Ebay postage refund

Hi,

Just wondered if there is a special way to do a postage refund to an eBay buyer?

They bought 2 of my things, so I agreed to refund postage for one as I can send them together.

Or should I just do a straight payment to the buyer for that amount?

Thanks fo any help!

Hello ffreddie!

Welcome to the PayPal Community! Excellent question about refunds.

The best way to do this is to find the received payment in your PayPal account and use the Refund link. You can do this up to 60 days from the original date of the payment.

Click on the transaction in your Activity. This will bring up the Details for the payment.

Click the link that says Refund This Payment. This will open a new page and you can send a partial refund (or a full refund) to the buyer.

Let's say you sold an item for $10 and $2 was for shipping. It only cost you $1 to ship, so you want to refund $1 to the buyer. Click the Refund This Payment link, enter $1 as the amount of the refund and then click Continue. You can also add a note to the buyer if you want.

It's that easy! I hope this info helps. And best of luck selling more stuff on eBay! 🙂
