Why isn't paypal credit an option for my eBay purchase?

I purchased a hat heat press on eBay through buy it now and PayPal credit is not a payment option. Only my other credit cards and bank accounts are showing up. My paypal credit account is in good standing and I have plenty of credit available. Anyone have any idea why? Paypal credit would be my prefered payment choice for this purchase, but it's nowhere to be found.

Greetings,

Here is what I found about paying with PP credit:.

How do I select PayPal Credit as my payment method?

"There are two ways to choose PayPal Credit. Some merchants have a PayPal Credit button at checkout. If they do, you can simply choose that option. If you don’t see a PayPal Credit button, check out with PayPal. Then you’ll have the option to select PayPal Credit as your payment method.

If you check out using the PayPal Credit button, a window will appear on your screen where you’ll provide your date of birth and the last 4 digits of your Social Security number, and then agree to the Terms and Conditions. If you check out through PayPal, all you have to do is log in with your PayPal information, change your payment method to PayPal Credit, and continue your transaction."

I would suggest logging into Paypal and selecting PP Credit as your funding source and then try to pay again.

You can always switch the funding back to the other source after you make the credit purchase.

Good Luck, Cheers. Smiley Happy

Thanks. I tried making it my prefered method of payment, but it still doesn't work for some purchases. I've found that if I add it to my cart and checkout through my cart that I can then pay with Pp credit. I just thought there might be an easier way. Thanks again.

I have had the same issue. It seems that it happens on purchases made in a different country that used a curreny like GBP, or with an item from a different ebay site that isn't .com such as ebay.co.uk Everytime that paypal credit didn't show up, it was for a purchase that wasn't in USD currency, at least for me. Just now, it didn't show up for a purchuse from Great Britain in GBP and I am in the USA. Another time, it was in Germany and it showed Euros. Only explanation I can come up with as Paypal Credit shows up on all purchases in the USA for me.

When looking at an item you want to buy add it to your cart and then sigh into PayPal and it will automatically set ur PayPal credit to it. Just did mine and it went through.

Hello Skorp,

I'm having the issue you described (attempting to make an eBAY purchase in the UK rather than my typical US location) and PayPal credit is not coming up as a payment option. Were you ever able to find a resolution?

Thanks!

Just FYI, I know this post is old but wanted to add just incase anyone else is recently having the same issue. When you add the item to your cart ect or buy now and you are trying to make the payment you will see at the top of the page "pay with" and by it you will see "see more options" select this and it will open up and that is where your paypal credit is now located due to pay pal and ebay seperating. If you just try to go to payment method on the right and select change it will only give you the option of your credit cards and/or bank account. It use to be all in one place but now the 2 are seperate entities so you have to select the see more options as first discussed and select whether you want paypal or pay pal credit.

Hope it helps.

Thanks
