Used wrong routing number for bank transfer, help!

I linked a bank account with my paypal account so I could transfer money to it, but I used a paper check to get the routing number and used that instead of the electronic routing number (I use Bank of America) and made a transfer. On paypal it says the transfer went through, but there's no money in my account. I called Paypal and they said it should come back automatically, but after how long??

Well most of the time the routing number on your personal check is the correct routing number you also can use for transfers. So lets say you initiated the transfer from paypal to your bank. On paypal end it well show complete meaning the money was send successfully . So now it is your banks turn to process that electronic payment and then apply that to your funds. Should take between 2-3 business days..

I know that it isn't the right routing number because Paypal just sent me two emails that try to confirm a bank account by depositing a little bit of money into them saying that it did not recognize the account. It said the money was returned to them, so why isn't my money returned to me? They attempted this on Nov19th and I just got the email about it. I figure that if it didn't work for Paypal, then it shouldn't have let my transfer go through successfully.

Ok,. I just got an email telling me that it failed and was reversed. I just didn't know what was going on since it took a week for it to finally come back to me.
