Issues with purchase on newegg via paypal

I'm having issues making a payment for a shipment on newegg, which I am planning on using paypal to pay with. I have attempted to order my product and Newegg requires me to have  confirmed address with my cardholder... Which is N/A for me because I have no credit card. This is not a Newegg issue, however my true question is how can I verify my address (which is definitely correct) without a credit card. And will I be able to use a personalised Green Dot visa to verify my address?

Any help would be appreciated.

drgame93,

Some merchants require that the address be listed as confirmed on PayPal.  A confirmed address is normally an address to which PayPal can verify with your card issuer (IE, where the billing statement is sent to).  There are a few options available; you can read more on confirmed addresses here: https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/main.jsp?cmd=_help&solutionId=10607&t=solutionTab&bn_r=o

Hope this helps,

Adrian

I'm having the same problem at newegg & the answer you gave doesn't help me & I bet it didn't help him either. If I had a credit card or bank account I could use to verify my address I wouldn't need paypal. That is why moneypak exists. So people like me can make purchases online. If I can't spend the money I load onto my account with moneypak at the online store I want, then what's the point?

mopar456,

The functionality for GreenDot MoneyPak is an excellent alternative to adding a bank account and/or a credit card, or to add funds instantly to your PayPal account.  GreenDot MoneyPak functions for the majority of purchases, and allows quick and easy access to a funding source for those purchases.

However, just as individual brick and mortar stores may place additional requirements on their purchasers prior to the completion of a sale, the same can be said of individual merchants who accept PayPal.  If you are unable to complete the purchase, I would recommend providing feedback to your merchant.  PayPal can assist them in accepting a wider variety of payments with minimal assistance.
