Company has become a charity

Hi

About 2 years ago, I tried to register my organisation as a non profit on Pay Pal. However, though we were operating as a non profit, we didn't have official status, so PayPal wouldn't let me keep that account. I gave up, and started a new account as a company using a different email address.

Fast forward, and we are now, finally, an official Charity, with a Charity Commission number and everything.

How do I

1. Change my existing PayPal account from a company to a charity and

2. Merge the old account that PayPal is still waiting for me to "resolve" with the existing account I've been using for 2 years?

Hi there ASN,

If you are now a registered charity and your old account which has a Non Profit organisation status is still open I would advise that you continue using this account, there is no way to merge 2 accounts.

If this account has issues you will need to log in and visit the Resolution Centre, this will show you all steps requiring your action.
