IF LIKE ME YOU ARE SICK AND TIRED OF ALL OF YOUR WITHDRAWALS BEING PLACED IN PENDING STATUS FOR 72HRS AND CANNOT GET ANY SERVICE FROM PAYPAL - FOLLOW THESE STEPS AND MAKE YOUR COMPLAINTS OFFICIAL - STAND UP TO PAYPAL AND SAY "ENOUGH"

Financial Ombudsman Service - PUT YOUR COMPLAINT IN WRITING (EMAIL) OR ONLINE FORM AND SEND TO FOS FOR THEM TO INVESTIGATE.  THERE ARE A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ALREADY AND THE MORE COMPLAINTS THEY RECEIVE THE LESS LIKELY PAYPAL CAN CONTINUE TO GET AWAY WITH THIS WITH NO RECOURSE

THEN SEND YOUR COMPLAINT IN WRITING TO THE FOLLOWING ADDRESS:

PPEL CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS

PO BOX 9473

DUBLIN 15

IRELAND

FINALLY SEND YOUR COMPLAINT TO LUXENBOURG VIA THE FOLLOWING WEBSITE AND CLICK ON CONTACT US AND SEND YOUR ISSUES.

http://www.cssf.lu/index.php?id=1&L=1

IT WILL ONLY WORK IF EVERYONE SENDS THEIR COMPLAINTS - STOP BANGING YOUR HEADS AGAINST THE WALL WITH PAYPAL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BE PROACTIVE.

THANKS EVERYONE AND GOOD LUCK!

This is all so tiring.  First of all, out of the - whatever it is, 14 million? - total Paypal user base we have no idea what proportion are affected by this.  Secondly, we are all whingeing away on a forum run by Paypal, moderated by Paypal, and running on their own servers.

What is needed here is a proper independently run and independently funded Paypal users group.  It needs to have membership from a large number of users so it represents a true majority opinion and has the authority to make its views heard.  If such an organisation does not yet exist someone - maybe me! - should create it.   There's no point in having random people ragging on about their fifty quid being inexplicably delayed.  We need to have broad data drawn from a statistically relevant cross section of the user community.

Feel free to email me any thoughts about this at: paypal-users [at] cka-net [dot] com.

I complained last week to PAYPAL regarding this issue and was assured it would be less of a necessity as the computer recognised withdrawal trends. This was completely untrue. This week I have tried to withdraw 3 small amounts - all £10 or less and every single one has been held. The most frustrating thing is I tried to pre-empt the holds and left a clear 24 hours for when I needed the money - TO PAY FOR POST TO MY CUSTOMERS - The first hold says it is for 24 hours - its is STILL PENDING after 28 hours - the second hold (I thought I'd try a smaller amount) was for 21 hours - STILL PENDING AFTER 27 hours - tried to withdraw £10 again today - held for 4 hours according to PAYPAL - held for 24 Hours according to the email I recieved. So it appears that you can't even try to manage your withdrawals. And don't even bother with PAYPALS customer service - I wrote a very clear question only to get an automated email with automated answers (which clearly didn't answert my question or I wouldn;t have emailed them!), at the end of which it asked me to restate my question - and then it took 2 days of emailing back and forth to get anywhere near an answer that was acceptable - and this week that answer was proven to be a complete lie!

Ironicly - if I want to pay my eBay seller balance it takes the money straight away - NO HOLDS! Enough of this monopoly on our money! Either sort your security systems out or AT LEAST stick to the timescales you quote!

I can assure you this is not 50 pounds I am complaining about.  I lost one customer over 380 pounds and another over 290 pounds, and still having issues with paypal.

As for whining inside this forum, we are reaching out via this public place to ask people to please complain through the correct channels, as I have done.  It would appear to be more than just a minor amount of people being inconvenienced in this manner.  And as I have completed 10 withdrawal transactions over the past three days and 100% are still in pending status - and seem to be well onto the 72hr "standard" I feel I have just as much right to vent as any other member.

As for the independant forum, sounds great idea to me and I am sure you will see the full scale of what is happening here.

How do you complain about something that you have already agreed to when you signed the user agreement when you joined paypal??

Surely if you don't like those terms that they state and you agreed to then just close your paypal account??
