Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone knew if PayPal's "1 day" transfer to bank scheme was still in operation? I remember a few months ago they offered this as an option for an extra £5 charge but i can no longer find this option. Any replies will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Mans1910,
The quick withdrawal is no longer offered as we recently updated our withdrawal options.
To withdraw money:
- Log in to your PayPal account at www.paypal.co.uk
- Click 'Withdraw' near the top of the page.
- Enter the amount to withdraw, choose the desired bank account, then click 'Continue'.
- Review the withdrawal details and click 'Submit'.
Your money will usually take up to 2 hours to appear in your bank account.
Please make sure your bank account information is correct before attempting to withdraw money from your PayPal account. For example, if your name is James Patrick Smith, but your bank account is in the name of 'J P Smith,' you would need to enter 'J P' as your first name when adding the bank account to your PayPal account.
Also please be advised the some withdrawals may be subject to additional review. If your withdrawal is flagged for additional review then it may take up to 72hours for your funds to be withdrawn.
I hope this helps and thanks for posting
Paula

Doesn't seem to be working for me properly at the moment. It should take maximum 2 hours under the faster payment system, but most (not all) withdrawals seem to be taking 24 Hours.
Anyone else having this problem?

Paypal why on earth do you say one thing and do another
Let me explain although i think you know what i am going to say.
Well it's not all bad because before this bout of rubbish i had made 2 withrawals to my account and bingo they hit my bank in approx 3 minutes NOW THATS SERVICE.
However Mr or Mrs paypal not all of us have the billions of dollars you do in your bank and when we request a withdrawal it is usually for good reason ,
Probable reason: WE NEED OUR OWN MONEY
After a couple of succesful withdrawal requests i decided with january being such a long month financially i would spend some of my hard earned pay pal money , with a emphesis on "MY"
Logged in and requested to withdraw £160 quid this may not be a lot to paypal but it is pretty much all i have until payday on the 31st jan , expecting it to be in my bank i checked and it wasn't in there , i waited an hour , still nothing , then i recived an email THIS EMAIL
You recently requested a withdrawal of funds to your bank account
Dear Julie ash,
You requested that the following amount be withdrawn to your bank account:
Requested withdrawal amount: £160.00 GBP
Bank account: LLOYDS TSB BANK PLC x‐9134
Transaction ID: 79263446875
Thanks for using PayPal.
Your withdrawal request is now being processed. Your funds can take up to 72 hours to appear in your bank account.
As set out in our User Agreement, withdrawal requests may be subject to review by PayPal to help maintain your safe use of the PayPal service. As a result, it may take longer than the estimated processing time for your withdrawal to reach your bank account.
Yours sincerely, PayPal
so i called paypal and spoke to someone who explained the process and said there was little he could do if the system picks your transaction , however he said the good news is that it will not happen again for a while
Now i am not going to lie , this was pretty inconvinient because i had no fuel in the car and very little food in the fridge and we use a key to pay for our electric and we were on our last £3 , but luckerly it was getting close to the weekend so i didn't need the car.
Cutting a long story short 3 days past and i got my money haliluah.
Anyway in this world of mass expense we had to sell some stuff and we made a few pounds which i stupidly thought would hit my account within two hours so again i logged on and there it was yet again
Dear Julie ash,
You requested that the following amount be withdrawn to your bank account:
Requested withdrawal amount: £105.00 GBP
Bank account: LLOYDS TSB BANK PLC x‐xxxxxx
Transaction ID: 79261046875
Thanks for using PayPal.
Your withdrawal request is now being processed. Your funds can take up to 72 hours to appear in your bank account.
As set out in our User Agreement, withdrawal requests may be subject to review by PayPal to help maintain your safe use of the PayPal service. As a result, it may take longer than the estimated processing time for your withdrawal to reach your bank account.
Yours sincerely, PayPal
Now im not happy because for the past month paypal have been advertising the fact that there new system this and there new system that , this new system does not exsist paypal you need to admit it.
This time , it's serious paypal and i mean serious, because i needed this money to hit my bank account because yesterday our heating all run out.
The weather man has predicted harsh snow in our part of the country which means unless i buy my heating oil today , we are going to be without heating until such a time that the snow thaws out because the oil tanker drivers will not deliver in our area when there is snow on the ground or ice in the air , snow+ice=very cold
In my house i have a small baby
2 young children
a very poorly mum
With no heating and -8 degrees predicted , someone is going to get poorly and if that happens which it proberly will i WILL TAKE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST PAYPAL
in your email you state that we should read the user agreement , What user agreement???? when you click the user agreement link that you sent within this legal document it says the page is no longer there.
As set out in our User Agreement, withdrawal requests may be subject to review by PayPal to help maintain your safe use of the PayPal service. As a result, it may take longer than the estimated processing time for your withdrawal to reach your bank account.
How to resolve all of this: So far i have waited 24 hours for my money and so i believe i have given you enough time to make your checks and release my funds , Therefore i would like to ask you in a very polite and proffessional manor to release MY MONEY today so i can order my oil and have it delivered so that no one is cold.
The only other option is to take your chance that my 87 year old mum does not get sick due to the cold or indeed any of my family.
I beleive you have the power to change this so if not for the sake of your customers do it for yourselves.
Telling people things are ok when they are not is not good business practice , you know it and i know it
so do something about it , PLEASE

I asked yesterday under this thread and did not receive a satisfactory answer. Why PayPal were my initial requests for withdrawals actioned under faster payment? Athe now the last 3 all take AT LEAST 3 working days. Not acceptable - you know who I am and I am not laundering money. You are delaying me access to my money

Yeah?
Seems that pretty much every transaction above few pounds gets reviewed for several days. I gues small sums are not worth holding on to.
You just charged me 25£ for a 450£ transaction and yet I still have to wait for MY money, disgrace!
When I withdrew the money the prompt stated that it will take 1 to 2 days, now that I look at transaction it states 3 to 4 days, which is it!?
Whats there to review? I have money in my PayPal balance and I want it out. Its not for paypal to sit on it for few days claming interest.
Seriously I am looking for alternative to PayPal now, this is no bloody use.

I just started en Ebay account, selling some things because I am not working, and have no extra money or savings. I thought initially this would be a good way for me to earn some extra income as my 3 auctions earned me almost 200 dollars
After waiting almost two weeks for two of the three auctions to "clear" , I linked my bank, card, did the .13 and .15c deposit and charge verifycation . Finally I get an email saying that the funds were being "processed" to my bank, or that the transaction was "in progress" so I got in the truck to go to the bank, and then hopefully tp buy some food and gas.
Wrong, I was so embarrassed trying to withdraw funds that are STILL NOT THERE after all this time. I am still clicking refresh every ten minutes on my bank page. I can't believe this.
I'm still waiting on ebay to give me the money for the final auction because i had plugged a tracking number in that didn't work. I fixed it but it made ebay give a hiccup anyway. I called though and they said it should be released soon.
I am being told that this will take one business day, but after today , and what I am reading, I will believe it when I see it in my hand. For now I have effectively been ripped off. I am hungry, and must walk to the bank , if and when pp decides to transfer the money .
I am so tempted, because PP does not grasp the fact that people need their money sometimes NOW for a reason, to just refund the three buyers. If I am gonna be ripped of I would rather just give this crap away and no one gets anything. So mad....

Hi Rcd76,
As you seem to be a new seller it sounds like you may have payment holds on your account. In an effort to create a safer online payments community, we may place your money from your payment to one side, in your pending balance.Holding certain payments helps to prevent losses, by keeping your money secure. It also makes buyers feel safer and more likely to return and purchase again. You say in your message that you have already entered your tracking information in which means that your funds can be released 3 days after your item shows as delivered.
Although these payment holds can be frustrating and inconvenient at times we do place these holds on all new sellers in an effort to make using PayPal a safer place.
Thanks for posting
Paula
