Hi, do you have currency in one Paypal account and you want to transfer to another account? Or you are looking to convert currency within the same account?

Many thanks for your reply. I have one account but someone has paid me in dollars and so I now have GB pounds and dollars in the account.

How do I put the dollars into the pound side of the account?

Thanks

Hi, this is a very good question. I changed my setting a long time ago to automatically sweep to my default currency of USD. I don't recall if there is a charge for this, but I imagine you can sweep to sterling pounds (GBP) in your account. I see there is an option in Paypal, Profile to Manage Currencies. Perhaps there is one for you. The naviation may be a bit confusing. I had to go to Classic Profile view to find link actually.

If you have multiple currencies, you should see the various curriencies on the left side. Click on the radio box (in your case, the USD). Then the from value should be the total USD amount and then to currency should be British Pound Balance (GBP). I have not done this personally, but I think those are the correct steps for you.

Hello members,

After much pondering and help seeking, I finally figured out how to convert my USD balance in GBP. Just below the profile you can see a link to Paypal Balance. Click on the link, you will be redirected to a page "Paypal Balance". On the bottom of this page, you will see "Manage Currencies". Click on it and then on the next page, on the right-hand side, you will find the option of exchanging currencies. Enter the amount and type of currency you want to exchange...and BOOM...job done. I hope everyone finds this helpful.

Hello members,

I did try your suggenstion for my problem that somone sent me GBP, but automatically converted to USD balance. I prefer accept GBP than USD. After tried the suggestion, yes Paypal give me the GBP Balance shown in my dashboard. But when I decide to withdraw it to my bank account, only USD balance showed in the dialogue box that can be withdrew, the GBP balance automatically converted again. How to make it stay still in GBP when you want to withdraw?

Sorry for bad English.
