Facebook Ireland, Ltd
charged me for my ads .. the amount of money taken from my paypal account is the same as facebook billing report says
so i dont think
Facebook Ireland, Ltd is a fake or scam .. however today this just came out
facebook telling me i owe 50$ and paypal shows that it has blocked this transaction ,, its also the same amount of money and flaged as PAYPAL FACEBOOKIRE
i think the transaction was blocked becuz i didnt have enough money in my credit card
so
if you dont do ads .. go to your ads manger and check if u are being charged for promoting a page or boosting a post ,, if you did not see any ad compaigns . check you account payments for games
if you didnt find any thing then you have not been charged for any thing

There seem to be hundreds of people been scammed via Facebook Ireland and PayPal. I have myself been defrauded for almost 1000USD in 3 transactions between Feb 23rd and March 3rd 2015.
The fact that those transactions continue to succeed for years shows how dangerous both Facebook and Paypal are and how little they are doing to prevent this from happening.
Payments over the internet are thouroughly regulated and most vendors and payment gateways (Facebook and Paypal in this case) have to implement strict authentication/verification protocols in order to prevent fraudulous payments. I assume both companies have not implemented those protocols well enough. Beside of not having implemented those protocols I wonder how they can let this happen for such a long time without intervening ?
Lots of questions remain to be answered by both Facebook and PayPal.

I was to drawn twice this week - paypal has drawn 37 euro one day and 150 euro the next !
I dont know for what or why - and paypal has, after a requist from me, promissed to pay me bach i some weeks.
I just can't understand that this kind of drawings can begin without me accepting an message from paypal, before the begin to draw money. It is werry scaring for me to risk to lose that kind of money in no time.
Is the only way to stop having paypal ???

Hi I recently posted about this issue and would like to give fellow sufferers of this scam an update in my case! Hope it helps! First off you need to contact Paypal IMMEDIATELY and insist on cancelling whatever made up agreement they think you've entered! (Took three different phonecalls before someone finally got that bit right!!)Next if you get a strange number ring you saying they are Paypal (can't remember off-hand but it's NOT the 0800 one) insist that they PROVE the contract exists and that if it does you didn't recieve the services you apparently paid for! (They will ask for your bank details but that's so they can get the details of your account up (They are in fact Paypal-just diff department-I've seen it said someowhere else they are fake but they really aren't and apparently this number is the only one that will investigate! After several irritating weeks I finally got my money back and the phonecalls have finally stopped! Hope this helps!

I had the same problem with facebook they took over £100.00 from me I clicked advertise/promote my page not knowing there where fee's to do that as it doesn't say when you do it what the charge is
YOU have to contact facebook dispute the charges it make take a few weeks and it may not work but its the right way to do it apperently
and unconnect your card payments from face book and apply for a refund
I didnt do this and got my page blocked for 10 days and they are still demanding payment of an apperent outstanding
balcance,

I've been scammed too last week - 2 payments to Facebook Ireland - nothing to do with me - apparently they are for ads - I have NEVER entered any payment information on Facebook so I fail to see how they have the right to dip into Paypal and remove funds - the person I spoke to at Paypal today said that when Facebook and Paypal have the same email there can be some sort of faster payment thing that can be activated whereby no payment or account details have to be entered - this is THEFT and I fail to see how anone with a brain and a modicom of a conscience would think this is acceptable - he clearly did. I am OUTRAGED and have raised a fraud dispute with Paypal. I simply will not accept that I must have "somehow" authorised the transactions - NO - this is not the case - I have never authorised a payment to Facebook and never would either - they should be ashamed of themselves - as should Paypal - this is an utter outrage and I would go so far as to say that Paypal are even more at fault than Facebook for allowing funds to be taken from an account without any login details being entered. That would be akin to walking past a PDQ machine in a shop and somehow your Credit Card processing a transaction without your Card even leaving your wallet, let alone your PIN being entered. The whole situation is deplorable and someone needs to take both organisations to task. I will not accept that no refund can be issued and will continue to fight my corner until Paypal do something about it.
