to pay for shipping upfront or not?

Hi

I am selling a cooker and the buyer said the money has gone into my paypal account but paypal are holding it until I give them a reference number from western union. the buyer is asking me to pay £200.00 to western union for the shipping to nigeria and he as added the £200.00  to the amount he is saying as been paid successfully to my paypal account but I can not see that amount. Is this the right process that paypal use?

DO NOT SEND ANYTHING.

Just google paypal/ebay/nigeria and all the info will be there.

1. Those paypals will not be from paypal.

2. Nigerians cannot use paypal.

3. Why would paypal want you to use western union?

4. Why would scammers want you to use western union? Because they then have scammed you and you don't ever get a paypal payment.

5. Paypal do not expect you to pay for shipping or ship an item before payment.

This is a common scam and unfortunately some fall for it......don't you be one of them.

I've just experienced the same thing! They asked me to ship to Nigeria, and offered me a higher price than I asked originally!
