Chargeback at my bank or dispute on PayPal

Hello, I want to recover the money from a few transactions that i've made through PayPal, using the money on my credit card. Which option can help me have more success: requesting chargebacks directly at my bank, or should I open disputes on PayPal? I am interested to recover money from transactions that are as old as possible.

Many thanks

Hello @Tear,

Welcome to PayPal's Community Forums. Normally we recommend researching and disputing the issue with PayPal first. If you file the dispute with your bank first, you won't be able to file the case with PayPal. However, If you file the dispute with PayPal and it doesn't go as planned, you may be able to research what available options you have with your bank. However, there must be a legitimate reason for the dispute. You can read more about dispute options here: I didn't receive my item or it's different than described. Should I open a dispute?

Good luck with your case!
