HONG DE CO. LTD----MAUI JIM SALE.COM

I ordered a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses from this company and was just wondering if anyone out there has any experience with this company.   Here's my question.  If you go to Maui Jims official website most of their sunglasses are around $300 to $350 and even more.   I found a website called "MauiJimSale.com".   When I went to that site I found the same exact sunglasses for $52.50!!!!!!   So instead of ordering off their "Official Website" for $349.99 I ordered the same sunglasses for $52.50 of the site that used the name of "MauiJimSale.com".   So here's my question.  Is this site a legitimate site and are these "REAL MAUI JIM SUNGLASSES"??????   When the transaction went thru I was looking for it to say Maui Jims website but instead it said: Hong De Co. Ltd.   So that got me quite concerned plus the fact on the website there is NO PHONE NUMBER listed which always gives me great concern.  Hope someone out there has "experience" with this company and can give me feedback.   THANK YOU.     Plus it really bothers me alot that you cannot even call PAYPAL to discuss this situation.  I have tried numerous times to call PAYPAL with no luck whatsoever.  It concerns me that many other very large companies are now answering their phones "remotely" but atleast they are answering them but NOT PAYPAL.  IAM VERY DISCOURAGED.

I just ordered them on friday the 15th of May so no.  BUT, like I said in the original post I expected a receipt from "Maui Jim" not some company I've never heard of.  The receipt was from a company called "HONG DE CO. LTD."  Which makes me feel they may NOT EVEN BE REAL "MAUI JIM" sunglasses.   I don't want some fake glasses that are not even the real thing.

I almost bought two pairs. Then I did a bit of research. All maui jim are made in Italy or Japan. This website is based in China. I was hoping at best if maui jim were made in China. That you could get replicas made from the same factory. But this is not the case. The contact info is vague and the email to is not in the same formats that maui jims website are. So my best guess it's a jump start website. At best you will get Chinese knock offs. This is only my opinion but based on a few hours of online research. I hope I'm wrong and you get your glasses and they are legit. However I'm not willing to take the chance. When you can get get knock offs at the swap meet for $10 Kealoha wong

Thank You for your nice reply.  I kinda suspected that they are frauds.  My tip off was when I didn't get a receipt from Maui Jim but instead a company I never heard of called 'Hong De Co.".     Anyway, Iam disputing it with my credit card company.

Was your credit card company able to help you out? If so, are they able to reverse the charges? I just bought from the same company and immediately asked for a refund before they were mailed out. Needless to say, the contact person did no respond to my cancellation request until after I they were emailed out.

I asked for a cancelation and refund minutes after placing my order and was told they could not cancel because in the 5 minutes since I submitted my order the glasses had already shipped. I received them over a month later, they are complete fakes. I spoke with the real Maui Jim and notified them of this fake company. I now have 2 pairs of super cheap poorly made knock offs that I cannot even wear because they were made that poorly. The nose pieces dont even line up on one pair I received. This company has told me several times they do not allow returns or offer more than a 10% refund. I have taken to reviewing them as fake everywhere I can so that hopefully no one else gets duped.

ChuckXX, did your Credit Card company make it right even though Pay Pal could  not? My CC said they put a hold on paying pay pal pending resolution. That is just a hold however. Pay Pal responded to my request that they are "looking into it"
