Is it safe to share transaction ID with seller?

Hello, I placed an order via Etsy at the start of September and paid via PayPal, the order was supposed to dispatch on the 20th but still hasn’t dispatched. When I went to check what is going on, it now says the shop has closed, Etsy support confirmed to me that the shop is closed and that I should be getting in touch with PayPal to get my money back. I then went to open a claim on PayPal and stupidly thought I was writing to PayPal; but only once I already sent the message I realised that it actually sent the message to the seller! In the message I mentioned my PayPal transaction ID as i thought it might be helpful. Is it safe to share this with the seller or can he use this to access some of my information or anything like that? I think i have enough reason to believe that this seller scammed me so they don’t seem very trustworthy. I have tried calling PayPal and sent lots of emails but just keep getting auto generated messages that do not answer the question: Is it safe to share my PayPal transaction ID with the seller? I found conflicting information via google and most posts were from years ago so I wanted to ask again. Please can someone help? Should I remove my card and personal information from my PayPal account just to be safe? Thanks

Seller can't do anything with a transaction id unless you gave them your email address and password to your paypal account as well !!!

If you have had no response from the seller then escalate the dispute to a claim for paypal to sort for you.
