It was seeing "Paypal" at checkout that helped you make your decision to buy huh? You thought that because they used Paypal, they could be trusted. Because Paypal got your back.. LOL I was fooled too. Case closed too. Slow response from Paypal customer service too. But they finally reopened my case for re-investigation. I guess it'd be another 3 months before legitimate progress is made, but hopefully they make it right. Just keep messaging them. They know they have to do something or they'll go out of biz. Spread the word - just cause you see Paypal, don't mean it's safe; it's the opposite.

I got scammed by this seller as well!! I ordered 2 x adjustable laptop/computer tables (metal leg adjustable leg with wooden top) and instead received 1 little plastic phone holder!! Have opened dispute with PayPal weeks ago and now the want me to return the phone holder ( worth $2 ) to China and the address they supplied is in Chinese which I don’t understand and neither does the Australian postal service!! I don’t understand why I should pay to return a piece of junk I didn’t order especially when I provided a copy of an email sent to me from Australia Post saying that this company is a known scam company and regularly send cheap items instead of what you ordered just to get a tracking number and to say it’s been delivered!! Do PayPal even read or look at the evidence we provide?? When the postal service of a country says that a company is involved in scamming and fraudulent selling why are PayPal still dealing with this company??? And why won’t PayPal just refund my money when I have undeniable proof that I was SCAMMED BY A FRAUDULENT SELLER!!!

I ordered an item which did not arrive. The company did not reply to any communications, other than 1 message to say the item had been despatched and would arrive in 2 weeks - that was 2 months ago. PayPal now tell me that mt claim has been denied because Newtron Trade has confirmed that delivery has been made - no evidence of course. All evidence shows that this company repeatedly pulls the same stunt. Why PayPal continue to facilitate what is little more than fraud is beyond me. Time to use a different way to buy. This message should be spread.

OK, my story is that I ordered a folding work-table from an advert on Facebook, back in August (I'm in the UK)
Never had anything by way of an order confirmation - or anything else from the seller - just the payment receipt from PayPal.
Have raised a dispute through PayPal and am waiting to hear - but reading these stories, I'm not holding my breath.
Now today, I've just received a small package in the post, with a four drill bits in it. I've never ordered any drill bits from anywhere, but I'm guessing this is part of the scam?
There was nothing in the package by way of invoice or dispatch note, to indicate where it had come from. It was a (UK) Royal Mail delivery with a return address for a London logistics company.
Under 'Special Instructions' there is reference to 17FEIA which looks like it is a Chinese logistics company and a Customer Reference - which, when I've searched at https://www.trackingmore.com/ says it refers to a package that was delivered 22nd July (albeit it doesn't say where) having gone via Shenzen, Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Greenwood Indiana. Something tells me that's not the same package... 🙄
Unless I've forgotten a random online purchase and this is totally unrelated, I'm guessing that the drill bits have been sent by 'Newtron Trade' in response to my dispute, so that they can tell PayPal that they sent the wrong item, and will refund/send the correct item, just so long as I send them back to China...
As others have said, you do have an element of trust in companies like Facebook to not allow adverts to be placed on their platform without vetting that they are real companies, and PayPal to not facilitate online fraud.
It's the first scam I've been the victim of, and I guess I'll end up writing the amount (<£30) off - but it's still really annoying.
