I am having the same problems? Was your issue solved? The facts that nobody can give me a straight answer nor want to offer a solution is beyond disgusting! L-O-L nobody answered to you because they know what they are doing!

Dont know why this isnt getting traction. same thing happened to me, i called and they gave me the lame esxucse that the back office didnt give a reason, they legit closed my account for no reason, how unfair is that? i have money that im going to be getting in 6 months, for no reason, ridiculous and unprofessional.

PayPal does review accounts regularly, and any concerns with security, violations of the User Agreement or Acceptable Use Agreement, compliance obligations, etc., could lead to a permanent restriction. Additional information beyond what would have been provided to you in a notification and/or email would not be available due also to security concerns and due to such information being proprietary.
However Paypal do not ban you for 0 reason. What would be the point? They make far more money from you using your Paypal account than interest on any held money.
Advice is voluntary.

it's hilarious how you defend such a big corp, they didn't provide a reason so, in my opinion, it was for no reason. i sell clothes and shoes from time to time, i don't do shady deals, im not a shady person, just somebody trying to make ends meet. i've called them and all they've hit me with is that the back office didn't provide details and that that was it. obviously im not the only person with this problem, its been an issue for years, what most sad is that our voices aren't heard.

pay pal just perma banned me for no reason. I've had them since 2013. I had just opened a new ebay account. And the end of may ebay changed the system over to managed payments. I think this had something to do with it.
I called them three times.. and told them it must be a glitch. Never had an issue with pay pal or ebay. My money is in there for six months and i am furious.
Is there anything I can do? They say i'm a risk. why and since when...
The last rep said it had been reviewed and there was nothing they could do to fix it. why? nothing went wrong anywhere.

I don't defend them I state the FACTS.
The facts are they do NOT give you a reason, you just presume you have broken their user agreement or acceptable use policy in some way.
That can be anything from accepting friends/family payments for sales or a lot of buyer disputes or having 2 Paypal accounts of the same type PLUS a myriad of reasons in between, often nothing to do with what you actually sell.
Also if they banned you for no reason then why not just ban all of us and close the company????
They ban you for a reason, albeit they don't tell you why, probably because it would make no difference to their decision so there is no point.

Do you have any idea what could have happened to me. Somehow that new ebay account triggered this.
I was a brand new ebay account. And they make you buy something to activate the account. So I bought a few things,,
made a sale. Which went great.
But the PP rep told me ebay had put a hold on my money. Every purchase since may 30. not long.. probably just to check if the money was there. Then they paid the seller.
I went back and looked at that date. and I had refunded a lady for her purchase thru PP
She was from italy and I dont ship there.
do you think that could have triggered something in PP?
another thought I had... I have two computers.. and different browsers.. edge and chrome.
I may have signed in on two different browsers. Because I did get an email that someone tried to sign into my account.. but it was me because I had just done it.. could that have flagged me for some reason..
Anything ring a bell with you?
I talked to PP three times yesterday, and ebay twice.
The last PP rep I had said there was nothing he could do to help... it's closed.. done.

They banned me before I even completed my application. They refuse to explain why.
I asked for ARBITRATION but they said there was NO DISPUTED because their decision is FINAL.
They seem to use a very NARROW definition of DISPUTE. They seem to think the word only applied to to customer vs seller.
The DICTIONARY defines it as ANY DISAGREEMENT between two or more parties.
I feel that there may be discrimination going on, but it is impossible to know since they refuse to communicate.
I feel abused when they ironically say:
"We regret any inconvenience this may cause."

I have been banned and I really can't tell why. All I think I did was ask my family members to purchase items from my new eCommerce shop. I understand I have violated security and I still can't tell what I did wrong.
