Over the last few months i've been buying digital goods from a game(Sad, I know). Anyways, its came to my attention recently that they were charging Brazilians BRL$400 for the top package, The rest of the world they were charging USD $99.99. To me, This isnt fair atall. Not only are they charging a higher price in USD (400BRL = 73.16USD) But they're using the USD as it holds value better. When quized about this is was responded with :

Our prices are defined based mostly on purchase power parity, taking into account some factors like currency exchange rate, but also minimum wage. During the year of 2020, however, BRL had a heavy and constant devaluation, which created the discrepancy. The value of our currency was expected to increase again and return to a previously matching exchange rate by the third quarter of the year, but that did not happen. Hence, now that a new fiscal year has begun, we are adjusting the prices in USD so that pairing is accurate again. Unfortunately, this adjustment will not be retroactive.
How can they base this when they only have 1 price for all for the rest of the world, when they charge people in brazil less, because they're brazilian... For a digital product which doesnt hold a true value?! Secondly Brazils purchase power parity is higher than the UK's!
Would this be a case that i'm eligible to refund every purchase and cut my losses with this company and they can have my account back?
