There are a few items you'll want to look for when deciding which shipping courier to use internationally.
First, always save a copy of the label that shows the full address to which the item was shipped. PayPal may ask for this information later is a payment encounters an issue.
Second, if this is a reversal where Proof of Delivery is required, you'll want to ensure the carrier and shipping method you choose includes online delivery confirmation. That means that PayPal can go to their website, enter the tracking number, and see where the item wound up.
If the payment is $250 USD or over, you'll also want to get online signature confirmation.
USPS, when selecting an international service, will often tell you that none of their packages can be tracked online internationally.
This isn't entirely true, but USPS will tell you this for one reason - they can't guarantee it. In most cases their tracking number can be taken to the individual country's postal system and entered to track the package, but it doesn't work in all countries and USPS isn't in charge of the package anymore, so they won't offer a guarantee on a package when it's not in their hands.
If this promise of service from USPS isn't sufficient to mitigate your risk as a seller, you may want to look into other carriers, such as UPS or FedEx, who maintain control of the package throughout the entire shipment. However, these services may come with an increase in price along with the increase in quality.
