Has anyone seen the ads for a subscription to New Yorker Magazine for $8 for 12 weeks print version and you get a free New Yorker Tote bag? It's all over Instagram and Facebook. I signed up for it in mid December. I got the first New Yorker magazine issue in Jan but never got the tote bag. By the end of Jan I decided to cancel my subscription as the tote bag never arrived. They agreed to cancel and yesterday I found I had $139.99 deducted from my paypal account with no warning or anything! I've raised this as a dispute but it will take over 2 weeks to allow them to respond. I have informed their customer services yesterday but have had no response. I see on Instagram where I saw the offer, that other people never received the bag and are furious. There was nothing written on the Instagram to say you are subject pay the full year if you cancel and I have screen shots from my phone to prove this. I think this is a scam going on and I don't thinks it's right I have to wait to March 7th to escalate this as I want a refund asap and I think other people might fall for this trick. I'm in the UK. Any advice?

Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > and under "manage upcoming payments" top left of page second option down is pre-approved payments.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Thanks for that but I can't stop it there. I have raised a dispute in the resolution centre.
