Locate Mobile

I signed up for a one month account with www.locate-mobile.info.       This company tracks where in the world any mobile phone is, all you have to do is provide the number of the mobile and hope it is on and charged.   I was looking for my own lost mobile phone.    However, every single attempt to sign in using the user name and password they provided, I was told to sign up (and pay) again.    I sent them a memo explaining my plight, which bounced back immediately.   So I went back to the  Pay Pal website which is  entirely unhelpful.:  All on line of course, telling me I must return to the vendor and then not even suggesting an email address to which I can write and complain.    So nowhere to go.     It's only £10 but that's a lot of money to me and this is altogether too much hassle.  I feel as if it's a united scam  Has anyone had dealings with Locate Mobile?

Hey , I too just got scammed  by this company !!!! what’s is more interesting is that PayPal is aware via this forum & the numerous dispute’s they receive about this company inclduing mine for not providing the service its selling ? but still allows them to use PayPal system to take people money ? While it's 100% my responsibility to do my research before buying from online companies , you would feel that the company must be reputable if they have offer PayPal as payment method. As a business owner of an online business I would think if I had the number of repeat complaints as shown on this forum, that PayPal internal compliance protocols would ensure no more PayPal customers get taken for a ride and close my account for doing business this way ?  Clearly its appears that PayPal are failing in the duty of care by allowing Locate-Mobile to continue to take people’s money via PayPal. Shame on Locate –Mobile and very disappointing customer care by PayPal.

                                 This is unbelievable!

I have just been scammed by the same crowd. I must say these scammers have it easy since in my view they are been assisted by paypal.

I went to paypals resolution centre, this is a joke, I have never had any joy from paypal when it comes to these scams.

                                 The reason I say unbelievable is because after paying these guys, further, discovering its a scam  to find this forum on paypals own site making them aware of this scam a long time ago and still paypal facilitate their own clients been ripped off by these scam artists, and don't forget paypal profits from these transactions.

                                 I am disgusted with paypal and their never ending  advertising about how safe it is to use paypal, not so! I may as well be in a casino.

                                If I had the time to set up a legal action to seek retribution I would include paypal for aiding and abetting and for irresponsable behaviour.

                              it seem all one needs to do is set up a website advertising anything that does'ent exist and paypal will facilitate that the money rolls in.

                            These sites when brought to paypals attention should be investigated immediately by paypal and flagged.

I will be seeking others means of paying online.

All members who feel this is a phoney set up ! Log in to your pay pal account  get detail of seller and record, go to resolution ! And send your email through the dispute procedure .Doug2

Ok looks like I have joined a list of people.  Quesiton here is why is Pay Pal letting them trade using their system?

Your right PayPal just dont want to know about this SCAM , my thoughts are if PayPal continue to turn a blined eye regarding Locate Mobile then the only thing left would be to inform the Police and let them investigate this on going SCAM.

We also face the same problem.  And we paid for the service.  Could PayPal help to issue the contact guy for us?  We need they to fuilfill their promise, or retrun us our money.  This could be a quiet big scam issue in the world.  If there is no any service contact, or any useful help.  We will claim to national financial department or police for a help.  Also, why PayPal keep receive money for this company?  It doesn't make any sense.  We just paid yesterday.
