Hi,
I placed an order using Paypal around an hour ago with Overclockers UK and according to the transaction history on Paypal the payment has been completed, but I never received any indication from the site that the order has gone through.
I've received no order number from them and there is also nothing in the outstanding order history on my account and after calling their customer service they note that it is probably down to Paypal having not passed the funds through as there are no orders on their system from me and that I should wait.
Should I raise a dispute to get my payment back or do as the guy suggested and wait a day or two, as this has never happened before when purchasing items using Paypal... it's always been nearly instantaneous??
Thanks for any advice.

Hey there CPR001,
Welcome to the forum.
Once the payment shows as complete then the merchant has the payment showing in their PayPal account. If there is a delay its on their website showing the order.
Speak to someone in the company that can view the PayPal transactions and they will be able to see your payment and advice on your order from there.
If not and they aren’t going to send an item you can open a non-receipt case against the transaction. Once this is done they will be notified and can no longer dispute the fact that you send payment as you can’t open a case against a payment that didn't complete.
Let us know how you get on with this.

Thanks Lucy,
Sorry, I meant to update this yesterday evening but got sidetracked; I managed to get in touch with them and the order was dispatched and I have now received it today (along with a bag of sweets!!).

We often come across this problem - normally caused when the buyer exits PayPal before you are returned to the sellers site. In such circumstances, PayPal is unable to confirm you have made payment and the sellers site just thinks you decided to not proceed. Once you have paid, a screen message does come up from Paypal telling you not to close the screen - but who reads meassages :-0
