I usually use PayPal for purchases on eBay, but occasionally elsewhere. I placed an order with Argos on Tuesday, April 11,2017 for an item costing £11.99. i received an email saying the payment had been made, but the amount has not been deducted and my account states"pending". Can anyone please explain and assure me when payment will be made. I turned up at Argos this morning and ended up with a rather red face. Thank You for the help
When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.
If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment.
Advice is voluntary. Kudos / Solution appreciated.
Had the same problem although mine was a delivery that didn't arrive. It's not a PayPal problem it's Agos website but they have been fobbing me off saying it is with paypal. I've phoned paypal and their customer service was way way better than Argos who don't want to know.
