Hi I just bought a new Samsung Galaxy tablet and to my surprise I found that there was no app for it from PayPal. Will there ever be an app for tablets? Very disappointing when I found out.

Sounds like you did not check the apposed devices list first.  (Who's fault is that?)

Firstly, I think it was a reasonable expectation that there would be an app for android tablets seen as the ipad and ipad mini are catered for very nicely along with dozens of Android phones. Secondly, I think your comment is extremely rude in its tone and the reply itself. I would have expected more from a "volunteer advisor" who clearly doesn't know what etiquette means! An actual response to my question would have sufficed! !

I fully agree with you, I visited paypal on my tablet (Lenovo) for a message to say why not download our app, went to see it and its only available on selected phones ... a tablet app is an amazing idea specially as the market for tablet usage is increasing.  Would also be good if they stopped redirecting tablets to mobile page, or give option to use full site as my tablet handles the sites better than my netbook.

I fully agree, etiquette is quintessential to good manners and mandatory in a civilised World.  I also have problems getting Paypal on my Google Nexus tablet.

Hi I have the paypal app on my samsung tablet and have had it for a while, but they have withdrawn it from being used on android tablets, don't know why which is a shame.

So cannot be installed on new tablets.

And I think the volunteer advisor should apologise for his remarks

Agree with Jaggers. Can we have a real Advisor on here to give advice?

I was directed to this "comprehensive" list of non compatible devices https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/how-to-use-paypal-here#faq frmo this thread - with this advice from Pay Pal Moderator David

Hey Me42,

Yes, that is correct. Unless it specifically states, the device should be compatible.

Please let us know if we can help with anything in future.

David.

It would be very helpful to know if thereis a timeline on the Android tablet app - or if there will never be one - in which case this Card Reader is going back.
