Is Anyone Else Unable to Ship Using UPS. Error Message Says Problem Registering Account.

I am new to using Paypal shipping and have thus far only used USPS.  HOWEVER, I now have two rather large items to ship that would be much more economical shipping through UPS and since I sold using free shipping for the buyer -- I HAVE to use UPS to make it worth even having sold the items.

Each time I try to print the label I am currently getting an error message saying,   Due to an unknown problem registering your account with UPS, we were unable to complete registration. Please register your account again. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I have spoken to Paypal about the problem twice now and they tell me it is a technical issue and that the engineers will be notified to work on the issue.    In the meantime I have large packages that I need to ship that will cost me twice as much to ship through USPS.  YET -- paypal tells me I need to go ahead and do that because of the "ship within 7 days" policy to qualify for seller protection.    So, basically, I have to spend more and it's not worth it to sell the items if I have to spend so much more for shipping than I had calculated when I listed the items for sale.  I'm frustrated and discouraged.  Am I the only person having this issue or is it common?

You can ship by going directly to UPS's website...that is what I did. It was a few bucks cheaper than the quote via Paypal too!

That's what I ended up doing was shipping through UPS site -- the problem is that my funds on Paypal or "on hold" pending delivery.  So I hope to GOD they recognize the tracking information that I manually put into the paypal info.  This on hold crap with purchases is a crock too.  I'm totally rethinking this Ebay/Paypal thing and thinking maybe Craigslist will be a better route for me.  I have a LOT of things to liquidate and can't handle this kind of aggravation for multiple transactions.

Did you enter your tracking number in the Pay Pal details section for the items sold?  I did that and Pay Pal seemed to recognize the entry and has the tracking detail on file...

I am having the same problem. Here is the error message I get when trying to print a shipping label on UPS:  "The contact information you submitted does not match the information on file for your UPS account. Either update your UPS account information by visiting www.ups.com or update the information below."

I tried my address info, but no luck, so I cannot print a shipping label. Is there no resolution, other than going to a UPS depot??? Soooo frustrated!!!!

Me Too;  I was having the same problem,and the same error message.I updated my UPS account and went back to PAYPAL,and the same thing happened.I have spent over an hour trying to figure what i did wrong.Everything checks out on both accounts.I guess i will just have to ship from the my UPS account.

Did you get your issue resolved yet?  I am getting the same message.  The account IS registered.  I DID get my UPS eBay / Pay Pal seller rate info.  I have deleted and added my account info several times.  It all matches.  Getting ready to call Pay Pal, but am not interested in help desk gobly **bleep**...

May I mention why in your state it may be somewhat different but I have learn in the long run, UPS cost more than Fed Ex, or in my state it does, I shipped something Fed Ex for almost half the price of UPS, everything i have sent or recieve on a track records, Fed Ex is better service, quickier shipping, and better tracking. So I say if you had problems with UPS this time it won't be the last, try pricing Fed Ex for large packages I found where I live they are FAR MORE better than UPS.
