i've receive the £0.01 payment in my account but there are no numbers, it just says PayPal. I bank with the co-operative, has anyone else had this problem and knows how to solve it?
I've had the same problem. Didn't show through online banking so I visited my bank and they confirmed there's no reference on the deposit - it simply says Bank Credit - PAYPAL, which means I can't validate my Account! Emailed PayPal and waiting to hear back.
Mine too! Never had this problem when activating my first paypal account (changed bank and moved house so just made a new account rather than changing details) bought something on eBay which I cant pay for until this is sorted, if I'd have known it was gonna be this much hassle I would have kept my old account (and not ordered the eBay item!) What happened to depositing 2 small amounts into the bank and the amounts would be verification?!
Emailed PayPal about this and each response I got said exactly the same thing: Look closely at your statement, it will be there!
They seem to not believe me when I tell them it's not. I've been into my bank and they've shwon me all the info they have about the transaction - absolutely guaranteed, no 4 digit code.
I think this is dead in the water as PayPal refuse to believe the code isn't there so it looks like I can't vaidate my account - poor, very poor!
exact same problem. we spent hours on the phone past from pillar to post between bank and paypal. Paypal just ddnt believe us and then we wereeventuallt told it will get sorted when pushed for when they replied 'eventually'.. charming!
