I simply want to stop receiving notifications from PayPal.
I created a UK account in order to do something but was unable to provide any of the verification required as I live in Turkey.
Now everytime I try to login to the account I get 'We're sorry, we couldn't confirm it's you'.
Yes, I know PayPal is not supported in Turkey, this is why I tried to create a UK account as I am a UK citizen.
In order to stop the notifications I have to login to the account.
This is just a viscous circle.
And I will not ring an international number to speak to support, please don't suggest this option.
Stopping these notifications should not incur a cost and should be able to be done by simply clicking a link to unsubscribe.

Hello @Garry123,
Welcome to the PayPal Community, and thanks for posting!
I understand you continue to receive notifications on an inactive account, and you're unable to log in to stop them. I'm sorry for the frustration this has caused you. Since the account was created in the wrong country, because we do not offer services in Turkey, I suggest requesting that the account is closed. This will ensure all notifications cease. In addition to reaching out to Customer Support through our website, you can contact Support by sending a PM on Facebook, or a DM on Instagram and X (Twitter).
I hope this helps you prevent future notifications!

So this was the message I received back.....which quite clearly ignored my original post content. And again of no help. Hi, thanks for reaching out to us on Instagram. I'm sorry to hear that you're unable to log into your account. We're unable to take action through social media, regrettably. You'll need to speak with customer service in order to regain access to the account, or to close it. You can reach PayPal Customer Service at [Removed]. Customer Service hours are 8am to 6:30pm Monday to Sunday. Freephone number available from local landline only: [Removed]. Please note that mobile callers should use the local rate number listed. If you are calling from outside of the UK, use the following telephone number: +4[Removed. Phone #s not permitted] Please note that charges may apply depending on the terms and coverage with your phone provider. - Adam

I've sent a message on Instagram.
But, I did look at the page you linked..
https://www.paypal.com/uk/cshelp/article/help247
One sentence in that article states....
It’s not possible to close an account with a remaining balance, an account limitation, or other unresolved issues.
Now, since I cannot validate the account doesn't that mean it's 'an account limitation'?
That was the limitation message I received because I couldn't validate the account.
