I'd like to readdress this post from SCJeni sent back on Apr-15-2021 04:14 PM: "I'm trying to check the email for a contact before I send money to the wrong person. The instructions say how to identify the contact, but then says use the Edit button. There is none. How do I see what email address a contact has? All the info I can find is how to change my email address, not the recipients!" This post was never answered and after my 30 minute call with PayPal today, they implied that the a contact's underlying email cannot be seen or edited. So if you have any doubts about the email address of a contact you have set up, delete it and start over and hope for the best. Let me know if anyone has a better solution to viewing an existing contact's details.
I agree it is not as good a program as it use to be. That said thanks for answering my question on the reason I can not link a short name to the email. That is useful if you want to sent again.
PayPal is crap now. They remove lots of useful feature. We have the right to see the email address of our Contact, yet this simple feature is removed from current PayPal Web UI.
Their support is full of lazy people who don't bother to understand what is the issue. 90% of my attempt to contact PayPal CS ends up with me being frustrated after tons of back and forth. Every reply is answered by someone else. PayPal is really useless crap now.
